I know it's early to be thinking of Christmas, but in this case I'm making an exception
While linking up with Moms for Modesty, I noticed this at Everyday Mommy's sidebar:

Handmade Outdoor Nativity
Clicked on it to find out more. Here's what it looks like:

Since we're really trying not to buy anything unecessary I first emailed Tripp (yeah, pretty funny - wives and husbands emailing - but he was at work and I wanted him to see the picture :)
I have now officially ordered our very own Outdoor Nativity Scene, which Everyday Mommy makes herself and which her son LoveBug calls "necktivity." Since these are handmade, they must be ordered early. Only $40 plus shipping. I'm not making anything from this, just telling you the way I'd tell my best friend about something I was excited about. If you're interested, you can order here.
I am very excited as most of my neighbors seem to have no idea what Christmas is about. I think only one sent an actual Christmas card last year. The rest were penguins and snowmen - anything but the Reason for the Season.
This looks quietly elegant and true.

I ordered one too! I think they are great. My husband and I have started a traditon of adding something to our Christmas collection so when I found this about a month ago I had to order it! Can't wait until it arrives in the mail.

Interesting that she kept it Biblical without the addition of wise men unlike the usual nativity scenes.

Grr, I just went to order this, full well knowing it would not be done this year, but she's not doing it anymore. I'm sad but it'll teach me not to wait to spend money on something if I really want it! Enjoy yours.
