WWJD? Ask a liberal

John Edwards, former Democrat presidential VP candidate and current presidential cadidate, on American selfishness:

"I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs," Edwards told the site. "I think he would be appalled, actually." (complete interview here)

Edwards' mansion in Chapel Hill NC and beach house at Figure 8 Island:

Gotta laugh! Especially since a spiritually superior leftie wrote me yesterday to tell me what Jesus wants me to do!!

I love this. It's showing the hypocrisy that IS the cornerstone of many Liberal's thinking. (I know I am over-generalizing...)

That is very amusing! Along with the fact that Al Gore uses way more electricity than most Americans to power his mansion!

It makes me so angry to hear American's being accused of stinginess by those who want to shame us into a more socialist government. America is an extremely generous nation, and most of that generosity comes freely and without government compulsion through private donations. Check out John Stossel on this issue:

Are Americans cheap?, Who gives to charity?, and Are the rich cheap?

Barbara, this is why I LOVE YOUR BLOG! :)
I live in NC and let me be first to say that during Edwards one term as senator for us, he did very, very little except help polish himself to run for president.

I'm very aware of his lifestyle, and let me tell ya, Figure 8 Island is a playground for the rich.

Hypocrisy, hypocrisy.
