A wake up call for parents
Like I've said before, I know you moms of little children are busy, but while you're taking care of your business other groups with aggressive agendas are taking care of theirs. Please keep up with what's going on in schools so you know what your kids will be facing.
I heard about this last week, but did not get around to covering it. I like Robison's take as he compares the outcry against Imus with the lack of media concern with this way over-the-line presentation to high school students in Boulder, Colorado.
I Never Thought This Could Happenby James Robison
"I am going to encourage you to have sex and encourage you to use drugs appropriately."That was the message preached by clinical psychologist Joel Becker at a recent mandatory high school assembly in Boulder, Colorado. Children as young as 14 sat captive in the audience while other school administrators listened in silent consent. (It is revealing to note that Becker is a part of the Lesbian and Gay Psychotherapy Association of Southern California.)
"Now, what is healthy sexual behavior? Well, I don't care if it's with men and men, women and women, men and women -- whatever combination you would like to put together," Becker said in an event labeled, "STDs: Sex, Teens and Drugs."
I am shocked and outraged that our culture has become so depraved that school officials require children to attend an assembly where supposed "experts" advocate rampant sexual relationships, including homosexuality and group sex. Abstinence was dismissed as unwise and indicative of "religious hang-ups."
But it gets even worse.
"We all experiment," Becker was recorded as saying. "It's very natural for young people to experiment with same-sex relationships. When you are 13, 12... one of the most appropriate sexual behaviors would be masturbation. Even today, there are psychiatrists who will do sessions under the influence of ecstasy. If I had some maybe I'd do it with someone, but you know."
The nationwide outcry has been lukewarm at best. Compared to Don Imus' racially offensive comment, there has been little media coverage or public upheaval. Apparently, rude comments are taboo, but pedophilic psychology is no big deal.
Words are not strong enough to express my disgust with this blatant manipulation of children to convince them that immoral acts should not only be considered normal, but perfectly acceptable. This predatory tactic lays the foundation for irresponsibility and abuse. Colorado's public school officials mentally molested these children by sanctioning dangerous and destructive behavior.
One parent that objected to the indoctrination was Priscilla White, whose daughter is a sophomore at Boulder High.
"The panel discussion was a completely irresponsible and dangerous invitation to Boulder High students to have sex and take drugs," White told the Boulder Valley school board. She read the transcript of the assembly, but was asked to stop because the language was "inappropriate."
"But it was at Boulder High School," Priscilla White told the board members. "If they can listen to it, I think you can listen to it."
(We had the same reaction by the Loudoun County Public School Board when several years ago a high school junior attended their meeting to ask for assistance in dealing with freak dancing and obscene rap lyrics at public school dances. Apparently our kids are less deserving of protection than the middle-aged white guys on the board.)

This kind of stuff has been going on in the California public school system for ten years. I used to report on it for California Citizen. I'm on my way to dig up some old articles now.

I hadn't heard about this! Thank you for bringing it to our attention. It's stuff like this that makes me 100% certain that I will be homeschooling my daughter!

Wow. I know that I'm naive, but that is crazy! I would pitch an absolute fit if someone told my children those things. ARG!

I'm from Denver and grew up in the Front Range area. I can tell you that this hit the news, and 90% of the citizens just rolled their eyes, since it happened in Boulder. We natives refer to it as "15 square miles surrounded by reality".
This is, after all, the city that regulates the wattage of porch lights due to "light pollution".
Also, it should be remembered that despite having TWO major newspapers, they are definitely MSM - they covered up an immigration scandal involving the mayor, who employed an illegal immigrant at his restaurant, who killed two police officers. I'm sure this was hushed up too.

Were these statements made to a child in a bathroom by a non-degreed perv, he's be imprisoned for solicitation of a minor.

Quote~ She read the transcript of the assembly, but was asked to stop because the language was "inappropriate."
I don't even have words to react to this statement. But I think it speaks for itself.

That is absolutely disgusting. My friend just got a permission slip for her 5 year old son to attend a Sex Ed class. The earliest I attended was in 5th grade and they promoted abstinence. Of course she declined it and said no way is her son gonna attend at such a young age. Thank you for sharing this story.

We are in the middle of buying a home in the Denver area. We were told over and over again that Boulder City schools were far superior to other boards in the area. We even tried to find a house in the school district, but could not. Hallelujia! God was looking out for us when nothing suitable was on the market there!!
Can someone not take legal action for what happened there?

The Brits are dealing with the same kind of thinking:
"Don't teach that marriage is best say academics"

I was thinking along the same lines as Virginia. By asking this speaker in as a guest of the school, it seems that the school is backing and condoning the things the speaker is sharing with the children. If a child goes out and does drugs as per the directions of this speaker and something horrible happens (an overdose, accident etc) couldn't it be said that the speaker and the school are liable because they are seen as authority figures by the child and the child was just doing what they were told to do? Might sound simplistic but it seems they are liable for any STD's, unwanted pregnancies, accidents or other results stemming from their completely misguided and disgusting opinions.
