My broken wrist revisited
It's been two weeks since I broke my wrist and it seemed to be getting worse. The brace just wasn't immobilizing my arm and hand properly - trying to do anything hurt like crazy.
So back to the doctor this morning. She said that in addition to the break, my tendon is damaged.
Here are the results:
Blech. They only had blue and pink. I couldn't think straight. I should have gotten pink.
It is very hard to type. Picture your knuckles hitting concrete on the upswing. But I guess I've moved from denial to anger - so I'm furiously tying away.
On the positive side, they said I can shower with this cast, that it's waterproof inside and out.
We'll see. . . .

I like the blue! Goes with your blog. :) Hang in there, Barbara! At least you can shower with it. Could be worse.

I can't write on your cast so here:
THIS TOO SHALL PASS...GET WELL SOON!
Now, print off the above and tape it to the cast. Maybe one of the boys could give it a little colour ;)

Blue is nice, but I can only imagine how nasty must be typing with your wrist and hand blocked!
Don't give up and vent you anger in some productive activity :)
My best wishes,
Elena

My husband fractured his collarbone and shoulder blade in Nov. and it was a painful trial which he's almost completely out of.
Injuries come out of nowhere and remind us how fragile we are and Who is really in control of our lives and plans - especially tough for ESTJs.
What have we tried to learn from this experience? To try to see God's will even in the yucky stuff. To pray, and take It as an opportunity to follow Jesus command that we think only of today which He has promised to help us with and trust Him with tomorrow. To try and show patience under trial and be a good example/no grumbling to our adult kids who will face things like this in their future.
I'm adding you to our prayer group's intention list.

I like blue, at least more than pink, so I think it looks good. But I think it would look better if you get your boys to paint some masterpieces of artwork....I love kid's drawings....and it should help you remember that your pain and sacrifice is all well worth it.
And I sencond Kelly...THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
Blessings.

Well your tenacity remains undamaged thank goodness! I am impressed that you are still managing to blog so well in spite of this setback.
By the way, I'm curious, even if the plaster is waterproof, won't the water get in underneath and make your skin go all soggy?
Best wishes
Clare
