Obamessiah - "We are the ones we've been waiting for"
Say what?
Also, check out this blog, which has been asking since December 11, 2006: Is Barak Obama the Messiah? - a goldmine of nuggets and pictures like this one:
Obama - the Transfiguration

Under this, there is a helpful link for those who aren't familiar with the original Transfiguration (of Jesus).
Let's see, we've looked at the symptoms, studied the disease. What in the world is going on? How did we produce a generation of such irrationality?
For a little intellectual relief, see
Obama and the cult of self-esteem

Wow, people love the Kool-aid. I think it funny when actors say they want our image in other countries to be better. Don't they realize that other countries don't like us because of the filth we love. Because of the immoral values we hold which are constantly portrayed in movies made by these people.
Amazing

Yow. The facial expressions and words on that video remind me of, well, a contemporary Christian worship service... of Jesus...

Ok, this is kind of freaky!
Now, I can see a few of my fellow mexicans in that video; the first girl that comes out speaking spanish sayin "this is America, my America, our America" is, as far as I know, a mexican citizen.
I will definitely have to check and see if she recently became a US citizen, otherwise I don't see how she can be rallying around Obama if she is not a citizen. Or could it be that she just got hired to do this commercial?
I'll have to check it out!

It's interesting to see all the different shopping lists people have for their own personal view of change.
Do they ever stop to think about how Obama is going to fulfill all of their unique requests?
They really must view him as God, to even imagine Obama as capable of answering all their prayers.

My first impression, during the first moment or so, was, "This must be a spoof!" Sadly, no.
I've shown this to my older kids, who all thought it was creepy and bizarre. The part that bothers us the most is the comment that Obama is like a revival in people's souls.
We've dubbed this the "Obama Worship Video".
If I were running for president, I'd like to think that I would never get so self-aggrandizing that I would tolerate such nonsense on my behalf. But then, I also wouldn't use the sort of rhetoric that Obama employs that stirs up these sorts of feelings in people.
