A Tribute to Dr. William and Martha Sears

attachmentparenting.gif

Dear Bill and Martha -

You have been the inspiration for many, many changed lives. Your work helping us see a better way to raise our children has made us not only better parents, but better people. You have gentled our spirits and deepened our capacity to love and to express our love to our children.

Your legacy - in changing our lives and providing a better foundation for our children - will affect generations to come.

On this Mother's Day, here are just a few **Thank Yous** straight from our hearts.

My invitation

From Yvonne

From Greta - who just had her second baby May 6.

Hannah

Jenny

I know that there are many others who feel the same way we do. They're just too busy practicing the things you've taught them to sit down and write about it.

May God continue to richly bless you in the things that truly matter. You have made a difference in this world!

With love and gratitude,
Barbara

Barbara, you are so right about being so busy putting the Sears' advice into practice...I saw your invitation and considered writing, but my littlest (of 4 under 8) was born just 4 weeks ago and I'm once again amazed at how much time it takes to be a responsive, nurturing mother. My husband and I learned SOOOO much from the Sears' Parent Project book when our first was born. It was a huge aid in helping us combine our two personalities to come up with a parenting style that was best for our children. Please pass along my thanks as well.
